Property Finder (formerly JustProperty) is a Dubai-based real estate company. Launched in 2008, Property finder is inQatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon. The company has more than 96,000 listings including homes, villas, apartments and commercial buildings.

Problem

The current app faces several UX design issues. Firstly, its outdated UI lacks modern design elements, making it less engaging for users. Secondly, the user flow is overly straightforward, which leads to users potentially missing out on important details the app offers.

Additionally, there’s no option to favorite apartments, limiting users’ ability to save and revisit listings they’re interested in. The only mode of contact available is through email, which may not be the most convenient for users seeking immediate assistance. 

Furthermore, users have expressed a preference for a map view search feature, which would enhance their browsing experience and help them find properties more easily.

Lastly, the app suffers from information overload, presenting users with excessive details that are irrelevant to their rental needs. Streamlining the information presented to users would improve the app’s usability and effectiveness.

Approach

To address the UX design issues of the current app, several solutions can be implemented:

A modern UI redesign is necessary, incorporating trending design elements such as contemporary layouts, typography, and visual components to enhance visual appeal and user engagement.

Refining the user flow is essential to ensure easy navigation and access to relevant information.

Implementing an apartment favoriting feature will allow users to save and revisit listings conveniently.

Introducing multiple contact options, including chat support and phone calls, alongside email, enhances user convenience in seeking assistance.

Integrating a map view search feature fulfills user requests, allowing for easy visualization of property locations and improved browsing experience.

Streamlining information presentation reduces clutter and focuses on essential details, enhancing usability.

These UX design solutions will address current challenges and deliver a more engaging, efficient, and user-friendly app experience.
